Challenge

A classic panel-building heating problem: on the ground floor it was 18 degrees and residents were running electric space heaters. One floor up, windows were open because the radiators were blasting at full power. Two apartment buildings in Milovice, roughly 300 radiators — and every single one doing its own thing. Building management needed a systemic solution, not just an attempt to tweak one valve.

Solution

First we measured the entire system and mapped out where heat was being lost and where it was building up. Then we removed the old balancing valves and the worn-out circulation pump. We installed new balancing components on every radiator and a new circulation pump with variable speed control. Finally came the most precise part — calibrating all approximately 300 radiators across the two buildings so that every flat receives exactly the amount of heat it needs.

Result

No more thermostat wars. Flats on the ground floor and upper storeys now have even, consistent heat. Residents no longer need space heaters and do not have to open windows to cool down — which has also shown up on their energy bills. The new pump uses less electricity and the balancing valves allow fine-tuning well into the future.
