Who are Kotmel Plumbers?
When you picture a plumber, do you imagine a brawny know-it-all? I'm Martin — I studied physics at Charles University, yet I'm also a plumber who may just have found a gap in the market. Plumbing hasn't relied on brute strength and decades of experience for a long time. Like every other trade, it evolves with new technology. That's why I founded a progressive plumbing company full of young people with a genuine love for the craft — one where we work with our heads as well as our hands.
Martin also teaches at the Prague Academy of Trades — he wants to train the next generation of plumbers, not just employ them. He completed the DoToho! mentoring programme and in 2025 spoke at the Week of Small Businesses, because even tradespeople need to learn how to run a business.

Construction is one of the least eco-friendly industries. We sort waste wherever we can, but the bigger impact comes from choosing the right materials and methods. We want our work to last as long as possible, reducing the need for further consumption.
Even Plumbers Have Passion Projects
Social responsibility matters to our company. We support a number of non-profit cultural projects.
A long-standing example is the Habrovka festival — a large community picnic in Prague 4. After the pandemic, we funded the creation of the unique Toilet Gallery at the Prague Market, curated by the group 3Kuratorky. On the music side, we fell in love with Concept Art Orchestra, for whom we funded the recording of the composition Zeme stoleta.
